RESOURCE AND RESEARCH MATERIALS

Knowledge Production & Knowledge Hub

Explore our research projects and access a variety of resources, including videos, fact sheets, reports, webinars and more.

The African, Caribbean and Black (ACB) community is at the centre of everything we do.

Based in the University of Ottawa’s School of Nursing, we are a research hub dedicated to bridging the health equity gap between research, and the ACB community.

Our research projects are grounded in several frameworks: intersectionality lens, socio-ecological model, and community-based participatory research principles to engage meaningfully with the community and produce race-based data that influences policy and decision-making to improve ACB health outcomes.

Addressing Marginalization and Health Inequities in a Variety of Contexts

Our mission to improve health equity and outcomes stretches across four core pillars of authentic community engagement, knowledge production, knowledge mobilization and capacity building.

We are deeply involved with the communities we serve, inviting participation and collaboration in activities across all four of our core pillars. This includes engaging individuals to help frame our research questions, hiring community members to work on our research teams, sharing the knowledge we generate widely, mentoring students, and much more.
